If you've been to a foreign country, you know what it feels like to be an "Alien." It can be initially exhilarating, but over time become exhausting. It's hard to genuinely relate to people when you don't understand their language, customs, music, likes, dislikes, and/or humor. Though great to visit, most don't stay for long. In reality, relationships can be the same way.
If we want to experience positive, lasting relationships, we must stop living as "Aliens" and learn to understand each other. Although seldom easy, it's both possible and worth it. Stop living as an Alien.
